What is the creativity level of your company?
Funders and company executives are challenged when asked to rate the creativity level in their companies on a scale of 1-10. Tough for many to do when their sole focus has been counting beans instead of developing creative capital. Our country –from the age of 3 years old, through formal education and corporate training – has created a worker force indoctrinated with a mindset of “no you can’t and here’s the answer.”
Little wonder why there is a shortage of creativity in American companies.

The good news is that creativity is not dead; it is dormant and waiting to be rekindled in the workplace. Awakening creativity isn’t about turning left-brain thinkers into right-brain thinkers. It is about showing left-brain trained thinkers how to use more of their right brain. And giving those left/right-brain thinkers the space to be creative and innovative – the space to make mistakes and not be criticized for their mistakes.
